Bucktown Art Fest

Discover the Hidden Gem of Bucktown! Once known as St Hedwig, and in a remarkably timely, but ironically temporary re-naming, the church is now known under the title of Blessed Carlo Acutis. 

This free tour coincides with  the Bucktown Art Fest. Stop by to learn more about its multiple name changes and it's core identity as you take in the beauty and history of this remarkable neighborhood landmark. This sturdy structure bore the brunt of the unfortunate pepper riot, and sheltered many through the twists of time that otherwise destroy individuals, families and communities. Each element was made, changed or restored with specific intent to draw one's body and soul into what is transcendent.
