About the Event
Enjoy an in-depth, on site, guided exploration of Mother Cabrini’s life at three of the places where she lived, worked and prayed.
The movie Cabrini does justice to her story, but we further it with an onsite visit to the places that drew her to live and die in Chicago. Your experienced guide has led groups through these locations since 2010 as the National Shrine was re-opening. She will augment your appreciation of this diminutive woman of magnanimous faith - a power broker for the broken, all for the love of Jesus - and tell some of her lesser and unknown stories.
We will visit the sizable hospital chapel and private room where Mother Cabrini left earth for heaven, and the museum and giftshop at the National Shrine of St Francis Xavier Cabrini. We will see the park where she prayed as she walked, visit the church who's children drew her to the Windy City, and the Shrine of Our Lady of Pompeii, across from the extention of the Columbus Hospital she built.
Meet at: St Isaac Jogues, 306 N. Fourth St, Hinsdale, IL
