South Side Masterpieces

Woven into the masterpieces of Chicago history are three victories of beauty and stability. One was very nearly destroyed in a 2016 fire and comes with at least one miracle story, the saving grace of an iconic image of a little child. Another is a Tudor Gothic, fitted with alabaster statues, German woodworking and Irish stained glass. It is not out-done by the third that rises as if sliced from the side of a mountain a- but as an old-world Gothic with new world purpose. It is currently being restored!
