About the Event
Grandparents, bring your grandkids out to the little country village of St Anne, in rural Illinois to learn about the Grandmother of Jesus!
Since 1886, when the first band of pilgrims came from Notre Dame de Chicago by train, thousands have attended the Feast of St Anne each year.
Join in for free!
The the annual small-town celebration echos those held in Canada and in France that also honor Le Bonne Sainte Anne, the grandmother of Jesus. The festivities include three Masses*, a colorful outdoor Procession with the relics of the Saint, children's games, a variety of food trucks, local craft vendors, flower vendors, and more.
This 'original Shrine of St Anne' brought the international travels of the famous relic of St Anne (Jesus' grandmother) to a permanent, peaceful place of veneration - a place for reflection, healing and joy. Some have left behind crutches or wheel chairs, others simply, thier worries and cares. Join us for a day away in the country on Friday, July 26th!
