The Jardine pipe organ at the Church of the Holy Trinity in Augusta, Georgia is thought to have been built during the Civil War. It was crafted by George Jardine and Son of New York, but it could not be installed until 1868 because of the Union blockades of Southern ports. Jose Reyes-Ortiz, the church’s organist and director of music, recently presented a concert on the church’s Jardine organ.
