The Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Archdiocese has announced that Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez has approved the relegation of the Holy Spirit Church building in Sharon Hill to profane but not sordid use, effective November 15, 2021.
The canonical designation means that the building will no longer serve as a worship site of Glenolden-based Saint George Parish – with which it merged in July 2014 — and will close as a Roman Catholic church.
